Watershed Assessments Between 1999 and 2002, the GWYC (formally the Yamhill Basin Council) partnered with volunteers from RARE to conduct assessments of eight sub-watersheds within the Greater Yamhill Watershed. These assessments were written using the Oregon Watershed Assessment Manual, (OWAM), and contain information gathered on historical and current watershed conditions, including: channel habitat types, vegetation, riparian and wetland conditions, channel modifications, sediments, hydrology and water use, water quality, and the state of fish habitat in the basin. Information was collected from a variety of sources, including local residents, local, state, and federal resource managers, and the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde. The project would not have been possible without this assistance. Click on a Sub-Watershed below to learn more: North Yamhill Watershed
